U18G Impact Qualify for College Showcase

The Impact - a first year team in the U18G Second Piedmont Division of the NCYSA Classic League - recently qualified for the CASL Girls Showcase Tournament in Raleigh. This tournament is a premier level tournament for competitive teams from top clubs throughout the country. In 2012 over 300 teams participated in the U15-U19 age divisions, and with over 500 college coaches in attendance, this provides an incredible opportunity for any girl hoping to continue playing soccer at the collegiate level.
The Impact qualified for the tournament after finishing second in the CASL NSS Qualifier Tournament on August 31 and September 1. The Impact finished the tournament with a 3-1 record, losing a tough 1-0 decision to the ODFC Clash. In the other three games, the Impact swept through their competition, beating the CASL Strikers 3-1, the CASL Hurricanes 2-0, and the HCSA Avalanche 3-2.
In the CASL Strikers game, Jordan Lanier scored 2 goals, on assists from Cassi Goode and Riley Clark. Cassi Goode also found the back of the net, on a second assist from Riley Clark.
Against the CASL Hurricanes, Courtney McNeill recorded the shutout in goal and also was credited with an assist on a goal from Jordan Lanier. Angel Simpson tallied the second goal, with the assist from Sylvie Routh.
Jordan Lanier recorded a hat trick against the HCSA Avalanche. Shea Connor, Angel Simpson, and Cassi Goode assisted on her goals.
The CASL Girls Showcase is scheduled for December 6-8 at the WRAL Soccer Center in Raleigh.
